Istanbul Arel University was established May 18, 2008 by the Kemal Gözükara Education and Culture Foundation.

Istanbul Arel University, with 5300 students and 300 personnel, is continuing to progress by investing in educational staff and physical infrastructure. Two of the three campuses are in use for educational purposes and the other one is for sportive activities.

4 year bachelor’s degree faculties and 4 year School of Applied Science, School of  Health Science and Scholl of Foreign Languages are located in the main campus in Tepekent established on 470,000 square meters and with a closed area of  77,000 square meters on the European side  of  Istanbul within the borders of Büyükçekmece Istanbul. Tepekent Campus has been designed to provide services for 12.000 students  with  300 Smart classrooms, Multipurpose amphi-theaters, Wireless Internet, Engineering labs, 2000 m2 Library, 1500 m2 Conference Hall Theater for 900 persons, cafeterias and indoor and Terrace Dining Halls, Indoor Semi-Olympic swimming pool, Multi-purpose courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, handball, etc.,  a Fitness Center and the Squash Halls, and finally, 5000 m2 indoor parking space for 500 cars.

Furthermore, Istanbul Arel University has 400,000 square meters of recreational area which was designed to incorporate cultural, artistic, sportive and entertainment facilities .  The park contains many attractions such as 250 acres of varied eco systems, 12 outdoor basketball courts, 9 tennis courts, 3 mini football fields, 3 outdoor swimming pools, 2500 square meters of artificial ponds and rivers, outdoor amphitheater for cultural facilities, lodges, cabins,  a park office, pavilions and picnic tables, outdoor cafeterias and biking, walking and running tracks.

Our Vocational School, and the continuing education center are located in the Sefaköy campus, which has a closed area of 20.000 square meters on the European side within the borders of Küçükçekmece/Sefaköy district, Istanbul. It is on main artery and central location on the E-5 Road. The Sefaköy campus is 4 km. away from the Atatürk International Airport, Istanbul.
