The goal of this course is to develop students' drawing and expression skills with repeated exercises. Attributes of objects such as dimension, proportion, texture, light and shadow are applied in 3 dimensional objects into paper.
EUT 103 Art and Design Education:-I(2+2) 3
This course is introduction to basic principles of design and art. Basic principles of design such as; point, line, space, color, light, shadow are used by the students to become independent and scientific individuals with a wide perspective of world view. This course consists of various applications to improve an individual's creative side, to define the elements and principles that are used to design whether it's an art object or an industrial object, it's impact on the whole, functions and interactions within themselves.

EUT 112 Second Dimension in Computer I (0+0) 2
Students will work on theoretical and hands on projects to create two dimensional technical expressions during the process of designing an industrial product in digital format. It aims for theoretical and hands on specifications within the menus of the software to define technical expressions of a product, cross sections, other 2 dimensional expressions, artistic perspective etc.

This course gives necessary basic and advanced information to draw technical drawings of the products and objects from preliminary stages till the conclusion stage. This course intends to teach the application of technical drawing information to express the drawing of the design.

This course is the sequel of ETB 103 and gives necessary basic and advanced information to draw technical drawings of the products and objects from preliminary stages till the conclusion stage. This includes colored drawing techniques.

EUT 101 Introduction to Design I (3+0)3
This course has two purposes. The first one is to prepare students to understand the design with all perspectives, analyze the data and synthesize the result and apply this to the product of their own design. The second purpose is to accelerate the result stage by using the same conceptual and technical language with the design advisor. The contents of this course is the analysis and the synthesis of the object, analysis of the product functionality, the structure and the construction of the product, human and environment interactions, color, texture and icon research. It also includes field research and archive preparation.

This course aims to expand the word knowledge by grouping words into subjects, to improve writing skills of academic and scientific articles and reports, to improve listening skills through intensive, extensive, exposure and task listening, to implement strategies for taking notes during the lectures, to debate over current matters, to prepare presentations and speeches, to improve the literal, inferential, critical and appreciative grasp of academical and professional texts.

This course aims to analyse various materials' attribute, to introduce them with all aspects starting from process method philosophy and investigate industrial production methods. This course aims to teach the vectoral, pictorial, interactive, communicative aspects of product to provide a project environment for the products that are part of industrial product design process and to teach the supporting programs to transform the industrial product forms into electronic visuals based on vision and watching. This mainly involves the products' visual processing techniques. The course aims to define how to design in electronic environment, the form within the product, texture, color, formal adjunct elements and interaction with the environment.

EUT 212 Third Dimension in Computer I (0+0) 2
This course involves the necessary expressions, supplies and software to proceed from second dimension to third dimension. This also includes introduction to three dimensional software with advanced vectoral software. The surface types of industrial products will be defined and coordinates such as x,y and z will be transformed from 2 dimension to 3 dimension. Students will percieve the dimensional differences in electronic environment while learning the necessary software to transform from two dimension to three dimension.

Indicators and controls will be analyzed within concept and definition of communication, communication design, communication in human-machine systems, alerts and limits of perception, to put these into order and strengthen, concept of error, systematic error tendencies, error ergonomics, design, production, testing and users.

This course involves technical information and hands on projects for the students who are at the first stage of industrial design education to model 3 dimensional geometrical objects with wood, plastics, metal, wire and metal sheet. This course teaches techniques and application methods of necessary models, prototype making and mock-ups for the future designs.

Right along with ergonomic science's general data and methods, the concept of efficiency in industrial products towards defining the measurable values of human-tool relations are defined with other multidisciplinary sciences within ergonomics.

This course teaches the philosophy to improve new products and designs excluding the already existing products.

EUT 311 Third Dimension in Computer II (0+0) 2
Three dimensional applications and intro to all professional menus which are necessary to model an industrial product in virtual environment and to improve the 3Dmax skills in medium level are covered at this course. Detailed applications such as products, space, rendering will take place. Through the last stages, animation will be introduced and details such as moving parts of a product, creating a space and moving along the space will be taught. Students can prepare their presentations both in electronic and manual formats.

This course consists of applications that will be used with software programs such as AUTOCAD, PHOTOSHOP, CORELDRAW, RHINO, 3STUDIO MAX in industrial design projects. All the necessary software will be used to create the project sheets in a professional frame and to support it with electronic presentations.

Through the formation and development process of a design; design construction and using stages; the various factors that are visible and beyond that, with the crossing disciplinaries; socio-economic, socio-cultural, technological and artistic etc. point of views will be held into investigate the cause and effect relations in an interactive method in comparision to other branches of art, and to synthesize while forming the relations.
*This discipline will be applied in an interactive method with audio-visual examples and the active participation of the student.

This course plans to give the students skills to think abstract, define the relationship between functionality, structure and form of design, to use geometrical theory and techniques and physical determining factors in product design, and to analyze structural examples and give information about these matters.

EUT 411 Presentation in Computer II (0+0) 2
This includes professional presentations that will be beneficial to present industrial product designs. The support education is given to combine video shots and animations. This course will provide the opportunity to prepare larger presentations within the show' as well as to demonstrate how to prepare presentations. Action shooting, film shooting, using the sound software and introduction and intermediate level of presentation for industrial product design projects are included.

This course provides all the diploma projects to be prepared in electronic format. It includes the first steps from web surfing to word presentation, powerpoint presentation to camera presentation. Later on, there will be electronic sketches and drwaings and detailed specifications will take place. At the last stage, the presentations will be finished in manual and electronc formats. Research report and presentation, sheet presentation, film presentation.

Prototypes are divided into two groups as working and non-working. The production techniques among these two types will be explained and demonstrations will be done.

The purpose of this course is for the students to gain information on social, cultural, scientific and artistic topics, to learn the opinions on well respected professionals of their own field, therefore improve their synthesize and analysis skills. In this course, participations to activities will be evaluated. Students will participate to at least 2 activities per semester, and 16 activities in 8 semesters in total.

TDL 101 Turkish Language I (2+0) 2
This course aims to provide students with free and scientific perspective while aiming to protect and develop our language among other languages.
In order to do that, this course teaches how languages appeared, the root and structure of world languages, Turkish Language among world languages, historical evolution of Turkish, structure of Turkish, failure of expressions, seperating words into roots, preparing proposals and resumes.
Various essays, novels and poetry books are read in this course.
TDL 102 Turkish Language II (2+0) 2
This course aims to provide and improve skills of correct usage of students' native language. For this matter, thinking and expressing thoughts in writing is crucial in this course. Punctuation, grammar, composition rules, types of essays are studied. Also, various novels, poetry books and theatre plays are read and studied. Students will perform reading theatre with various diction and inflection techniques.
EUT 111 Computer Program Education (1+2) 2
This course aims to introduce and express the hardware and the software pieces of the computer world. This course consists of usage of a computer to research for an industrial product design project. It includes the electronic acquirements for the student's industrial design project through the preliminary, development and finishing stages to turn in the research preparation, reporting and project sketches such as surfing the web, preparing reports, reporting digital presentations, creating the frame of the reports, presenting projects and forming necessary tables.

This course introduces techniques and varieties of models and prototypes to the future designers and observe the transition of design into real objects.

This course evaluates various integrated approaches of color, form and function of products in design stages in applied lab environment with mixed model construction techniques.

These skills are crucial in the era that we live in.
